Together with two way full integration possibilities at hospital information systems, ExtremePACS is ready to become one of the essentials of your radiology department. Basic technical specifications of Extreme PACS & RIS system can be reviewed in the following topics. By the help of bi-directional HL7 integration through Hospital Information Systems (HIS), claims and reports are continuously transmitted between HIS and RIS. Claims comes from HIS to RIS and images comes from modality device to PACS are kept in the common database therefore images are automatically matched with the claims. Records management and radiological reporting procedures can be performed on RIS interface. RIS driven PACS structure helps to convey commands through the systems and matched examination could be shown in the same interface. Oral or written reporting procedures succeeded on the same interface and approved final report automatically transmitted to the HIS. Zero-foot print Web viewer, which use HTML5 and stream technology is fully compatible with Windows, MacOS, Linux, and Adroid operating systems. All the links used in the access to data over a secure channel (SSL) are provided. Patient images are processed by a server then they are streamed to internet browser. User computer does not save any data after the session (including DICOM images) and all the information about the patient is being deleted right after Internet Browser is closed thus the datas can not be accessed by unauthorized persons afterwards.PACS & RIS system provides advanced analysis tools through Workstation software. Some of these tools MPR (Multi Planar Reconstruction), CPR (Curved Planar Reformat) 3D Volume Rendering, Fly through and segmentation.Extreme PACS & RIS system complies with the IHE workflow. Supporting profiles are Scheduled Workflow (SWF), Patient Information Reconciliation (PIR), Consistent presentation of images (CPU), Access to radiology information (ARI), Key Image Note (KIN), Portable Data for Imaging (PDI), Cross Enterprice Document Sharing (XDS .b) Cross Enterprise Document Sharing for Imaging (XDS-I.b)Thanks to its VNA (Vendor Neutral Archive) DICOM and non-DICOM objects could be archived and also offers standard interfaces such as Wado, XDS-I.B to access other systemsPACS have created tools specifically for use by the system administrator.
